This hotel was located in the private area around St. George Castle, near Alameda. It was a elegant hotel, but a little dated. We found the room with the balcony more than comfortable and the staff took great pride in all services they offered. The hotel and room was spotless, the breakfast was ample and good. The reception hosts offered us good and helpful tips for visiting in Lisbon, to include riding Tram 12 in lieu of the crowded 28 on the same route/line, and recommendation of a traditional Portuguese restaurant a short walk away. We felt safe and comfortable in the hotel and found it quiet and restful with an excellent view. We were fortunate to obtain one of their garaged parking places (only 2 spots) attached to the hotel otherwise, parking may have been a problem. We must recommend the restaurant closest to the hotel, Gosta do Castelo, as it is excellent!

We loved everything about this property. The decor, the location and the Reception staff were very helpful and met all our needs. The Breakfast was tasty and well presented and the catering manager even provided my sister with a Breakfast Birthday Cake complete with Candles to celebrate her 80th Birthday.
